After studying art in Los Angles, Catherine returned home to Louisiana to get her fine arts degree. She then opened Boléy Designs and began a twenty year career in decorative painting specializing in murals, textures and stone finishes. Her work can be seen in many churches, homes, and businesses. Now her concentration is oil painting with emphasis on landscapes and pet portraits.
