Artist’s Statement:

Morgan Barras was born and raised in a plethora of culture and art here in Lafayette, Louisiana. When she was seven years old, she picked her first frame for a customer at Barnel’s and has been with the business ever since! Dabbling in the arts throughout middle and high school, she started her painting career in 2019. She is currently studying Interior Design and French at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Her primary inspiration is her faith, taking many religious symbols and characters to the surface. Morgan also likes to experiment with different textures and with a palette knife.
