Edna Hibel is an American artist and humanitarian. Born as a native of Massachusetts in 1917, she has had a fulfilling career promoting peace through her exhibitions and artwork all around the world. Her work has traveled as far as Brazil, Russia, and nearly 20 other countries! Using her artistry, Hibel was able to raise money for charity. She passed away in her home at the age of 97 in December 2014.

Artist’s Statement:

“I guess I was adding and subtracting too quickly […] Anyway, I’d have my work done before the others and I probably became fidgety. That’s when my teacher gave me a small box of watercolors to hold my attention.”
